Christmas Lights Switch On – Photos of the Event

On Friday 25th November the town held their annual switching on of the christmas lights.  The entertainment included stage performances on the market square a street funfair along the high street and themed walkabout characters around the town centre.

This year the lights were switched on by two nominees for the Young People of the Year awards, Antonia Usher and Matthew Clifton.  They were joined on stage by our Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Barry Chapman and Mrs Lindsay Chapman and were later presented with certificates as a memento of their evening.
